Ingredients:
● 1 cup ketchup
● 1/2 cup beer (choose a beer with a flavour you enjoy)
● 1/4 cup brown sugar
● 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
● 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
● 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
● 1 teaspoon garlic powder
● 1 teaspoon onion powder
● 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
● 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
● 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1) In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, beer, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
2) Stir the ingredients together until well combined.
3) Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
4) Allow the sauce to simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning. This will help the flavours meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.
5) After 10 minutes, taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings to your preference. If you like it sweeter, you can add more brown sugar, or if you prefer it tangier, you can add a little more vinegar or mustard.
6) Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the BBQ sauce cool slightly.
7) Once cooled, the BBQ sauce is ready to use. You can brush it onto grilled meats, use it as a dipping sauce, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later use.
8) Enjoy your quick and flavourful 15-Minute Beer BBQ Sauce!
