15 Minute Campfire Banana Boats
Create a warm and delicious dessert in just 15 minutes!
Ingredients:
• 4 ripe bananas
• 1/4 cup chocolate chips
• 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
• 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers
• Foil, cut into 4 large squares
Instructions:
1. Start by building a roaring fire and gather around, it’s time to get cooking!
2. Lay out your four foil squares for your bananas. If you've got a campfire grill grate, give it a preheat.
3. Take your 4 bananas and give them a slice! But don't go all the way through, we want to create a little pocket for the toppings.
4. Sprinkle in the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers. There's no need to hold back—go wild and generous with your toppings!
5. Gather up the edges of the foil and bring them together – fold them over and seal them shut, ensuring all that ooey-gooey goodness stays locked inside.
6. Place your banana boats on the grill grate or directly onto the hot coals. Now, sit back, relax, and let the magic happen.
7. Watch those banana boats closely – in just 5-7 minutes, they will be ready to come off the fire.
8. Using tongs or a heat-resistant glove, retrieve your banana boats from the fire. Give them a few minutes to cool down and let the flavours mingle.
9. Unwrap the foil packets and check to make sure everything is melty. Whether you choose to enjoy it straight from the foil or transfer the deliciousness into bowls, it's time to indulge!
Note: Remember to have fun with your banana boats and feel free to get creative with your toppings. Want to add some peanut butter, nuts, or caramel sauce? Go ahead and make these banana boats your own edible masterpiece. Bon appétit, campers!
